WEEK 1 – July 8-12 WEEK 2 – July 15-19 WEEK 3 - July 22 – 26 BAND EQUIPMENT TRAILERS
If you haven't noticed, the Band trailers are partially lettered and sponsored. However, we would like to add additional lettering and logos to the sides. Additional funds are needed. Funds raised from the Sponsorship program (see below) are being designated for this. We are also building out the inside of the trailers to hold our uniforms, equipment, and instruments. Stop by the trailers at competitions and see the progress. If you would like to make a donation to assist the band with this, please click on the "Donate" button below. Your generous donation is appreciated! The Dixie Heights High School Band Boosters rely on fundraising and the generosity of our community to help pay expenses. We are currently raising money to build out and customize the inside and outside of our two new trailers. Our band has over 100 members and the two trailers allow us to haul instruments, props and uniforms in an organized, clean and safe environment. The Dixie Heights Colonel Band is made up of over 100 talented musical and performing students, plus many more dedicated students participating in all aspects of the band program including Color Guard, Concert band, Pep Band, Winter Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard. Our students are laser focused on discipline, leadership and teamwork, constantly perfecting their musical and performing skills and talents. This requires a huge time commitment on their part unmatched in high school extracurricular activities. Band students devote many hours of work practicing, preparing, performing and competing! This preparation has our students performing at peak levels at competitions throughout the Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio tri-state region. The self-will, discipline, and attentiveness is needed to perform and compete at such constant elevated levels. These are traits they will carry over into a life full of effective study and work habits that produce young adults that can only have a positive impact on our community. The Dixie Heights band program has developed immensely over the years claiming many band awards in Marching Band, Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard. We also produced numerous All-County and All-State individual musicians as well. We definitely cannot do all this without your financial support! As a Band Director, Staff and Booster organization, our true measure of success and accomplishment is to provide for and allow these musical and performing band students the opportunity to continue to grow and allow the Dixie Heights Band program to continue the great Dixie Heights tradition for many years to come. With our summer band camp coming up in July preparing them to compete in marching band competitions, throughout the autumn months, against top tier bands, requires a large amount of money.
